My Brain Surgery Story

2 out of 5 stars,
would not recommend.

At 38, I thought I had annoying blurry vision in one eye.

Maybe dry eye. Maybe too much screen time. Maybe I was just getting older in the least exciting way possible.

It turned out to be a brain tumor on my optic nerve.

Once I found out I needed brain surgery, I did what any reasonable person would do: I looked for reviews.

Not hospital marketing pages. Not inspirational patient stories written like everyone had been lightly misted with hope. Actual reviews.

What was the onboarding like? How was the surgical experience? Did recovery include any surprise fees, hidden side effects, or undocumented features?

Unfortunately, brain surgery does not have a useful review section.

So this is mine.

TLDR: 2 out of 5 stars, would not recommend.

This is the real story of the diagnosis, the surgery, the complication that almost cost me vision, the hospital stays, the brain-fluid leak, losing my ability to speak, and the anxiety nobody warned me about.

Medically necessary. Terrible customer experience.
